A local Mortgage Broker company recently completed a migration to the Office 365 platform. After the initial mail migration, this client wanted to maximize their return on the software investment by leveraging other features of the platform. They decided to transition their on premise SharePoint content to the cloud-based offering. It was quickly determined that they would need Architectural guidance and training.
After reviewing their existing site, Axis determined that rather than just migrating content, it would be best to work with their team to reorganize the content and leverage the enterprise features offered in O365. The reorganization of data allowed the company to promote self-service features, create team workspaces, and deliver important content to its workforce. Services including Teams and Enterprise Search were implemented to provide separate secure SharePoint sites for each business line.
Axis conducted one of three onsite workshops led by our in-house SharePoint Architect, which included ten client employees. Under direction from the Axis resource, the working sessions focused on streamlining daily use of the site. By removing the number of “clicks” to get pertinent information, Axis increased the clients productivity and reduced the effort that their support staff had previously applied to maintain content in the existing site. The workshops provided additional training on the inner workings of SharePoint, and the Microsoft best practices to adhere to. Additional onsite workshops will be conducted to evolve the platform into a Digital Workspace with dynamic content based on user role.
