A multi-location, NH based credit union wanted to migrate from on premise Exchange to a cloud based offering. They needed assistance with a unified digital workspace platform, Airwatch, and had some very specific security considerations that needed to be met.
After Axis analyzed the situation and the need of the client, we performed an O365 migration of their Existing Hosted Exchange 2010 environment to Microsoft Office 365. 80 employees as well as Shared Mailboxes were migrated via a remote move migration. Office 365 Business Premium licensing has been selected as the platform allowing Office Clients to be installed by the client.
Axis implemented a full hybrid O365 configuration to migrate the client mail data to the cloud with minimal impact for the end users. The client assisted in the migration process under Axis tutelage. We assisted our client with purchasing an appropriate blend of Microsoft licenses (about 80) through CSP monthly subscriptions and connected third party Mimecast Journaling for their email archive. Axis was also a resource for AirWatch support and provided insight that allowed that piece to migrate seamlessly.
Additionally, Axis assisted with some special security considerations which were designed to prevent non-company assets or offsite systems to be able to access the cloud hosted company resources.
Since the migration, our client has been able to reduce on-premise footprint. They have less in house servers to manage and maintain while having a greater flexibility for growth, ease of upgrades, and added resiliency, all while maintaining the high level of security that a financial institution requires.
